How To Change User Password Domain Name
There are two ways to change the user password on a Windows system remotely either through the Command Prompt or through the user interface. You must have administrator access to change the user password from the Command Prompt. If you do not have administrator access, and you try to change the user password, you will receive System error 5 has occurred. Access denied error message.
To open a Command Prompt, do one of the following:
1. Go to Start >> Programs or all programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt.
2. Simultaneously press the windows key and the letter R on the keyboard. Type cmd in the prompt and press Enter.
You will see a black screen
3. Type net useron line.It command will display the detailed little chart of all User Accounts on the computer.
4. Select the account you should change the password.
5. Now type the user user_name * / domain net. You will be prompted to enter a password, and then again to confirm. Type a new password and password will be changed.
Or you can type the following command:
Log on to your system, press CTRL + ALT + DEL to bring up the Windows Security dialog box.
Press the Change Password button.
Enter the name of the user whose password you must change.
From the dialog box, either click on the computer name or domain name in the drop-down list box, or type the computer name or domain name that contains the User Account Database where the user name exists.
Now type the corresponding password in the Old Password, New Password and Confirm New Password box.
You will get a message indicating your password has been changed.
You can use this method even if the User Right "Access this computer from the network" is disabled for all groups.
